Special Valentines Lesson Sunday!

Valentine’s Day is a day when people take the time to tell the special people in their life that they love them. On Valentine’s Day, millions of people give cards, candy, flowers, and other gifts to family, friends, and special loved ones as a way of saying “I love you.” But as we see in the Bible, it’s one thing to say “I love you” with our words and quite another to show that we love someone with our actions. The story of the woman who anointed Jesus’ feet shows us what real love and sacrifice look like. The story gives us a model for saying “I love you” to our families, to our loved ones, and to God. Valentines, cards, and candy are nice expressions of love, but it is through action and sacrifice that we really show how much we love someone!

Wednesday Nights HighPoint Kids Theme

Self-Esteem
In Self-Esteem, your kids discover they have value because God created them on purpose. Stories spotlighting Moses’ early life show kids they can like themselves not because of how they compare to others but because God loves them.

What's the Point?
I like me because I know I am important to God!

Life Verse
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. (Psalm139:14, NIV)

Week 1:
Who cares about me?
Moses: The Basket Case,
Exodus 1 & 2

Week 2:
Can I like myself too much?
Moses: The Hothead,
Exodus 2

Week 3:
What if I don’t like myself?
Moses: The Hesitant Hero,
Exodus 3&4

Week 4:
What if others don’t like me?
Moses: The Troublemaker,
Exodus 7–10

Week 5:
How much do I matter to God?
Moses: The Escape Artist,
Exodus 11 & 12

Just finished a Church wide Series

It's been an amazing past 5 weeks as we learned what it means to be a follower of Jesus not just an enthusiastic admirer. Adults, youth and our kids were challenged during this series based on the book "Not a fan" by Kyle Idleman. I highly recommend the book!

Over the past five weeks we broke down the verse: Luke 9:23

Week 1: "If anyone"
Open Invitation to all

Week 2: "Come after me"
Passionate pursuit- Am I pursuing Jesus?

Week 3: "He must deny himself"
Total surrender... It's not about me but Jesus

Week 4: "Take up his cross daily"
An everyday death. Choosing to die to myself.

Week 5: "Following Jesus"
No excuses. Wherever, whenever, whatever.

Are you a fan or a follower?
